Text-First Approach
Wireframe Fun (WF) uses a special syntax to create wireframes. Once you understand how the syntax works, you understand how to use the app. Here are some things to orient you while you’re exploring and learning the syntax.
- Indentation Based - this is similar to python, but even more near and dear to our hearts, it’s like flowchart.fun (another tool we’ve built for making diagrams)
- Component Focused - just like many successful web frameworks, the syntax is meant to work well with components. If you’re not familiar with this concept, just think of it as packaging up a piece of UI for reuse. You may want 5 Icon Buttons in your mockup. WF makes it easy make one Icon Button, and reuse it 5 times.
- Layout is Key - WF is pretty opinionated about how it does layouts, but once you get a feel for it you will realize how powerful it is. Learn more on the Layouts Page
- Utility Framework Inspired - Utility frameworks (tailwind-especially) we’re such a giant improvement in productivity they were the obvious choice for a way to create configurable base components
